Farewell and Good Luck Year 12 Students
In the last week of October we farewelled our Year 12 students. We wish all our Year 12 students the best of luck for their exams and best wishes for the future. A friendly reminder to our Year 12s to please return all your books out on loan to the library.
Horror & Halloween in the Library
The library has a great range of horror books. Popular horror authors include
R.L. Stine, Stephen King, Mary Downing Hahn, Derek Landy, Patrick Ness, Mary Shelley and Madeleine Roux.
World Teachers’ Day
At GEC and around Victoria, World Teachers’ Day was celebrated on Friday 30th October. It’s a great day to acknowledge the fantastic work teachers do, especially so in 2020. We appreciate their support and promotion of the library as it has a lot to offer both the staff and students of GEC.
Book Club
Book Club will resume in Term 4 with a difference! We will be running Book Club in the lovely grounds of GEC meeting once a fortnight on Wednesdays. Book Club members please check your email for meeting days. New members welcome, please contact the library staff if you’d like to join or just find out more. It’s a welcoming, informal place to share all things books and make new friends.
