Hush Foundation - Gathering of Kindness 3

Edgar Chen, Year 11, will be performing at the Hush Foundation Annual Conference with the Melbourne Youth Orchestra (MYO) on Sunday, 29 October at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The event is called 'Gathering of Kindness 3'.

This HUSH Foundation movement is focused on bringing together all voices in healthcare to envision a kinder, safer, and better healthcare system. HUSH is internationally renowned for its pioneering approach to combining the latest research with the creative arts (original music, theatre, literature, dance, audio-visual and narrative), to support professional learning and culture change.

As well as their remarkable work supporting patients and doctors, HUSH has commissioned hundreds of Australian works for their HUSH albums. We are forming a small string ensemble of 12 and 18 players to perform the pieces listed under 'Instrumental Music Soirees and Performances', once at the beginning of the conference and then again inside the hospital for patients and doctors.

Instrumental Music Soirées and Performances

In addition to actively participating in Kilvington’s orchestras, concert bands, and choirs, many of our students dedicate themselves to honing their solo and small ensemble abilities.

Alongside our regular Senior and Junior Masterclasses held each Friday lunchtime, we are pleased to announce a series of outstanding performances scheduled for the upcoming six weeks.

Goodbye and good luck to our Year 12 musicians, actors and dancers

A huge thank you to all our Year 12 Performing Arts students who've been actively involved in Performing Arts over the course of their time at Kilvington.

We'd like to wish them every success for their future endeavours and hope that they will come back as Kilvonians and perform alongside our staff and students in future events. We also hope that they will take away some cherished memories from their time in our program and remember the connection they made through performing arts.
