Southern Peninsula Division Cross Country
The top 10 runners from the Phillip District Cross Country age groups are provided with the opportunity to run at the Southern Peninsula Division Cross Country. As the students progress through the levels, the standard of runners' ability improves as the best of the best from the whole Southern Peninsula are invited to the event. This event was held on Wednesday the 31st of May at Hastings Foreshore.
Congratulations to Tommy T who finished in 9th place, Lexie B who finished in 21st place and Jude F who finished in 30th place. It is a fantastic achievement to make it to this level and you should be very proud of your efforts.
Again, the top 10 runners from the Southern Peninsula Division Cross Country age groups are provided with the opportunity to run at the Southern Metropolitan Cross Country. Tommy has now qualified for this event and will run on Wednesday the 14th of June. Good luck Tommy!
Girls Football and Boys Football Winter Lightning Premierships
As part of the District Winter Lightning Premierships, the Phillip District hold a separate day for students to compete in a girls football and boys netball inter school tournament. This year Our Lady of Fatima fielded a boys netball team and one girls football team.
The boys netball competition was played at Truemans Road Netball Courts and the girls competition was played at Olympic Reserve.
Again, well done to all of our students who participated on the day. You competed to the best of your ability and showed great sportspersonship throughout the day!
Our girls football team finished top of their group and were narrowly beaten in the final.
The boys netball team finished in 4th place, losing the 3rd vs 4th playoff by a single goal.
