Dear Families
It's the end of Week 7 and with only two weeks left of the first semester, we have lots to share and many things scheduled to do! Check out each page of our newsletter to hear about all the wonderful things that occur at Fatima!
KEY INFORMATION
Assembly
In Semester 2 our assembly time will shift from 9am on a Friday morning to 2.40pm. The reason for the change is so we can dedicate another morning to literacy learning and schedule more support to student learning, such as interventions, extension and tutoring. I'm sure you will agree with the staff of Fatima that this is a no brainer and more efficient use of learning time!

Partnership with Padua
I am pleased to inform you that I have been in consultation with Padua College regarding works on our tram. The staff at Padua leading the 'Hands on Learning' innotative program are keen to take on the project. This is a great opportunity to strengthen our parntership and have youth involved in purposeful project work that provides a platform for students to engage, grow in confidence and achieve success at school.
Principal 360 Reflection Tool
The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership 360 Reflection tool supports principals to reflect and gather feedback on the leadership behaviours they exhibit in their daily practice. In Term 3, I will be inviting a selection of students, parents/carers, staff, peers and liner managers to particpate. The results from the survey will provide an invaluable set of baseline information for myself to reflect, celebrate and continue to grow.
School Carpark - Kiss and Go
Please ensure in the morning for our 'Kiss and Go' system that you drive all the way through. We have some cars that are stopping at the first gate and blocking traffic. Staff would appreciate parents/carers adheering to this, than having to approach and remind the vehicle to do the right thing.
Semester 2 School Time Change
As highlighted in past communications, a new enterprise bargaining agreement has been on the cards for Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools for some time. This is all about creating better working conditions for staff in our system. In responding to this, our school times will slightly adjust. From Semester 2, please know:
Enjoy the long weekend everyone!
Go gently
