Austins Ferry Buildings Update

Towards 2023

The landscape at the Austins Ferry campus is rapidly changing as the College prepares for the re-introduction of Year 11 in 2023. The first of the building projects involved the re-location of the Maintenance facility from underneath the Joyce Performance Centre to an area adjacent to the tennis courts.

This has allowed for the re-furbishment of the Joyce Performance Centre to make it a genuine home of the arts. The new facility includes additional music rooms, recording studios, drama labs and performance spaces and teaching spaces. It will allow St Virgil's to offer subjects to Year 12 within the Arts domain as well as support the College's renowned co-curricular music and drama programmes.

In November work will commence on the 'Library In-Fill" project which will see additional classrooms built below the existing Library facility. This will also allow for the consolidation of all student services to best meet the needs of Year 7 to 12 students into the future.

At the commencement of 2022 work will commence not he College's Year 11&12 Centre which will be a state of the art learning and teaching facility for senior students.
