Nathan Does It Again! 

Congratulations to Nathan on coaching the Derwent senior men’s team to victory in the 2021 Southern Tasmanian Men’s Hockey Premiership on September 18.  At full time Derwent and OHA were locked at 3-3, but a more poised Derwent went on to capture the cup after a nail biting penalty shootout.  

This is the third year that Nathan has coached this team and his second premiership as a coach, having also experience victory in 2019. Nathan was a goalie during his playing days and was an integral part of the SVC premiership team in his final year at the College.  

He went on play in premiership sides with Derwent in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2013.  In 2013 he was team Captain of the side coached by another OV – Nick Tremayne (SVC 1996-99).  Furthermore, he played with the Tassie Tigers in the national competition 2005-2011.

Nathan, now married and with two young daughters, studied Physical Education at UTas and is now Deputy Principal at Margate Primary School.
