From the President  

As communicated in the last edition of OVAtions, the Committee made the decision to postpone the 2021 Annual Dinner due to the impact of Covid 19 on the mainland. It was becoming increasingly unlikely that our inductees, Dr Martin Scurrah, Dr Leighton Kearney and Jack Riewoldt would be able to get to Hobart for the event. Martin, Leighton and Jack will be inducted at the Annual Dinner in October 2022. 

The Committee is busy organising a number of events for the remainder of the year. The field for the OVA Golf Day is officially full and we look forward to a fantastic day at Royal Hobart on Friday November 5. 

Committee members Zac Piesse and Declan Waddington are putting the final touches on a Friday night session for old boys young and old! Full details will be circulated via social media and the November edition of OVAtions. Stay tuned! 

The final event for the year is the OVA Memorial Mass and Luncheon on Wednesday November 24. The Mass features a welcome to the ranks of Old Virgilians for the Class of 2021 as well as prayers for all Old Virgilians who have passed away in 2021.
