Vale Allen Lynch 

The July edition of OVAtions detailed the passing of Allen Lynch (SVC 1952-54).  Allen's passing was mentioned on the Brownlow Medal coverage as part of a tribute to former VFL and AFL footballers who had died during the previous twelve months. 

Allen Lynch hailed from Scottsdale where his father was stationed as a policeman.  Allen was later to become a policeman himself as highlighted in the picture above where he is helping Sacred Heart Fitzroy students cross the road! 

Allen played 106 games with Fitzroy from 1959-66 as a fullback / ruck. 

He passed away on June 6 2021.
