SCHOOL PRODUCTION

The Show MUST Go ON!

Despite everything going on in the world, Lilydale High School students are still hard at work preparing for our upcoming production of XANADU!

We figured that with all the unusual stresses in the world today, what we could all use is a good laugh, and this show is sure to do just that.

After completing some songs and dances during remote learning we’ve been excited to have the cast back at school and slowly but surely, we’ve been including new groups into our rehearsal schedule. We’re looking forward to when we can have everyone rehearsing together.

So when is this show?

It will be coming to you in the final week of Term 3.

With restrictions on gathering still in place but consistently changing, we have not yet made tickets available. You can be sure when they are you’ll be hearing about it!

Given that we will likely still have a reduced capacity in the Theatre, we have actually added another performance! We want to allow as many people as possible (appropriately spaced…) to see this show.

A lot of work goes in to creating a school production, from staff, students and helpers. We’re not only rehearsing every Monday and Thursday afternoons, but we’ll also be in on the holidays working as well.

We have had, a lot of laughs along the way and given the unique circumstances of this year, we really believe we’re creating something that both those involved and those watching will remember for a long time.
