SCIENCE

We're back!

It’s so wonderful to be back on site and working in our wonderful science labs! All the science classes have taken advantage of returning to school by undertaking interesting and engaging practical work.

Year 12 Biology

The Year 12 Biology students have been learning about our adaptive immune response. To demonstrate their knowledge, they acted out a role play.

Here they are in action!

Year 10

Year 10 students were learning about DNA and inheritance while remote learning. Now that they are back in the lab, we took the opportunity to extract DNA from a kiwi!

Year 11

The Year 11 Physics students have been working hard to determine the specific heat capacity of aluminium.

Year  11 Biology

Students were given the task of devising a card game that could be use to demonstrate their learning about Ecology.

Year 12 Chemistry

Year 12 students have been making predictions about and conducting experiments on electrolysis.

Year 12 Biology

Year 12 Biology students are so committed this term, that they were at school at 7.30 am last Thursday to revise Immunity for their Biology SAC. Great work!
