I am very pleased to report that rehearsals for our 2021 Production High School Musical are well underway. After initially having to work with the students via WebEx the Production Team – Ashleigh Phillips, Jaimie Kent-Russell, Fiona Chamley and Basil Rizopolous - are enjoying ‘live’ rehearsals. The production will run from 19th to the 21st August in the Banksia College theatre with tickets being available both through TryBooking at from the school at the beginning of next term.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram

To help keep our community better informed about what is going on in our school we will be engaging with social media much more often. We have a group of social media savvy teachers who will be posting as often as possible with pictures, stories and updates on events in the College – so please follow us!

Uniform

As we enter the coldest time of the year it is important to remember that correct school uniform must still be worn. Students wearing a t-shirt, school shirt, jumper and spray jacket or blazer are able to stay warm regardless of the weather. There is no need to wear hoodies or non-uniform jackets of any sort. The school has ample supplies of very good quality second hand uniform should you wish to purchase additional items.

Attendance

If your child cannot come to school please let the school know as soon as possible and explain why your child cannot attend school. To report a student absence please either call your Campus office, call the student absence line (Acacia 9549 8510 or Banksia 9549 8511) or enter the attendance note through your compass education app. If you need assistance signing in to your parent compass please contact the school.

Advertising in our newsletter.

Even after only one edition of the Keysborough College Newsletter I have already had enquiries regarding advertising in newsletter. At this stage I will be accepting requests from not for profit community organisations who wish to promote their group or event.

Contact details

Would you please ensure that your contact details are updated if they have changed since last year. Recent events have emphasised the importance of the school being able to contact you by phone, email and by post if necessary. Please contact the General Office at your students’ Campus if your details need updating.

Once again thank you for everyone’s incredible support of each other through these challenging times.

As always, I am very proud to be the Principal of Keysborough College.
