Junior School Report

As always junior school has been providing a vital leaning environment for our Year 7, 8 and 9 students. The Assistant Principals, Team leaders and managers and junior school teachers want to send a big congratulations to all our junior school students to recognize how well they managed their recent remote learning experience and how well they prepared for their in-class assessments.

There have been a number of fun activities occurring in junior school over the previous month and are soon to be coming up early in term 3 and here is a summary below;

Year 7 students managed to enjoy their first Investigate excursion with a journey into the Melbourne museum, Imax theatre and Chinatown as we study Ancient Civilisations. We were very lucky to have had this on May 26th – the day before Lockdown - literally the day before! Students demonstrated RED Values the whole day and loved the opportunity to explore what the Museum had to offer.

  • An incursion organised to promote STEM studies with associate primary schools in our area proved to be very successful, blending a range of activities involving environmental science, learning to program drone flight and experimenting with chemical drought control

  • The tutor program continues to provide in-need students with critical support in their main curriculum areas with the tutors building valuable relationships with both teachers and students.
