Year 7 Students 6th in the Australian Intermediate Baseball League Championships
Two of our stunningly talented Year 7 students, Brock Edwards and Coadhey Veermann-Rebbechi, have just returned from a successful campaign at the National Baseball Championships which were held in Mildura this week.
The boys had already been chosen, and played for, the under-15s Rangers Baseball Charter (which represents clubs from Pakenham, Chelsea, Upwey-Ferntree Gully and Waverley) in the State Championships, which were held in Geelong in April. They were one of the top two teams in the State - making it through to the Australian Championships, an amazing feat.
Congratulations to Brock and Coadhey, whose team, the Rangers, came 6th overall in Australia - What an incredible achievement!!!
James Nimaya - 1 of 23 Dancers Chosen in the State
The Victorian State Schools Spectacular organisation have officially recognised James Nimaya from 10.5, as one of only 23 dancers chosen from the State of Victoria to perform in the Principal Cast of this outstanding event.
James has been working extremely hard attending rehearsals every weekend and his passion for dancing shows when he speaks about the event.
We have 10 talented students in our Dance Troupe, led by Ms Gourlay, who are also appearing at the Spectacular in September:
Shelbi Barr | Katie Brooks |
Gracie Brooks | Owen Hampton |
Matilda Hawkins | Kaneisha Lynn |
Abbie McCrimmon | Kyra Selek |
Lily Thomson | Millie Winn |
The production brings together about 3,000 students from more than 200 government schools. It is quite an honour to be chosen as one of the Principal Cast and we look forward to seeing James and our fabulous dance troupe perform on the 9th September at John Cain Arena. We admire their commitment and diligence and we can only imagine what a fantastic night it will be.

District Cross Country
On the 23rd May, 32 students from the College went to Akoonah Park in Berwick to take part in the District Cross Country. We have not as yet received the official results from the Organisers, and will update our Community as soon as they are available.
We have, however, been advised that Hunter Beaumont from 9.4 came 2nd in the Area and 6th in the Region - which is tremendous!
Our students were a credit to the College; their attitude, behaviour and perseverance were to be commended.
Well done to Hunter and all of our students.
School Wide Positive Behaviour Program
We are continuing to recognise students who conduct themselves in a way that upholds our SOAR values. $30 movie vouchers are given out randomly to students who have received a green chronicle entry on Compass.
The theme for this term is "Be the best that you can be".
Well done to all students who demonstrate behaviours that support this theme.
Here are the students who have received vouchers in May:
Mia Collier 9.4 | Tyler Groves 10.1 |
Owen Hampton 10.5 | Kai McQualter 7.2 |
Michael Nimaya 8.5 | Jack Ibrahim 7.5 |
