Staff Performances

Karen Gordon will be playing this weekend with the Queensland Pops Orchestra and a cast of talented musical theatre stars in the Disney 100 Concert at Home Of The Arts (HOTA) on the Gold Coast, a celebration of magical moments with Disney animated film scores. 

Friday 31 March and Saturday 1 April, 7:00pm, HOTA, Gold. Coast

Andrea Sitas will be playing Handel’s well-known Messiah this Saturday, 1 April at All Saints Church, Wickham Terrace from 7:00pm - 10:00pm.

Tickets are priced at $50 ($40 concession) and children under 13 are free.

Tim Opstelten will be playing a selection of wind band works this Sunday with the Queensland Wind Orchestra (QWO) Sunday 2 April, 2:30pm, Old Museum Concert Hall.

Emily Francis travelled to Hobart last week to perform with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) at their 75th Anniversary Gala Concert. 

Dance Troupe

Dance Troupe kicked off this term with workshops from Emma Whitefield, from Premier Dance.

Emma trained at Premier Dance from the age of three, completing all RAD grades up to Advanced 2, and then studied full-time at Davidia Lind Dance Centre, obtaining a Diploma in Musical Theatre and an Advanced Diploma in Elite Dance Performance. Since 2018 Emma has been performing around the world with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and performed in An American in Paris in 2021, returning home in between contracts to teach the students of Premier Dance & Clayfield College.

We are looking forward to our partnership with Premier Dance, for House Activities, dance showcases and the school musical.

Private instrumental and vocal tuition billing

All families should now have notified the Music Department (music@clayfield.qld.edu.au) if they wish to withdraw their child from Private Tuition for Term 2.
