Principal’s Message

It has been lovely meeting our 2023 Kindergarten students, including new and existing families over the past few weeks.  One of my questions is always ‘Why have you chosen John Paul II?’ Whilst there are various reasons why families choose John Paul II, some common themes emerged through the responses:

• The strong sense of community.
• The progressive nature of the school and optimism in the future.  This includes both aspects of our new building works, as well as teaching and learning initiatives.
• Positive word of mouth.
• Positive experiences with Ludo and/or Setup for Success.

We look forward to seeing our 2023 Kindergarten students later in the year

for Orientation.  

There has a been a lot of action occurring on the building site.  Last week, we put a drone up in the air to get a sense of the footprint of our new multi-purpose hall.  I think you will agree that it will be a wonderful new addition to our facilities.  You can also see houses in Oakdowns will be right on our boundary very soon.  

The multi-purpose hall will have facilities designed for the following:

• Art Classes
• Drama Classes
• Music Classes
• Physical Education
• Cooking (commercial kitchen)
• Assemblies
• After School Care
