Mr David Murphy
Senior School
I would like to congratulate and thank all 2020 Year 10 and Year 11 students on their excellent work during the VCE/VCAL Early Commencement Program. Students’ attitude and work ethic has been first class and the hard work during these two weeks will pay off when students return next year already ahead on their VCE studies.
2021 Year 12 Student Learning Conference
All 2021 Year 12 students are reminded that they will start the year with our annual Student Learning Conference at Hyatt Essendon Fields, 1 English Street, Essendon Fields, on Monday 1 February. This compulsory event is an exciting and worthwhile day, which equips the new Year 12 students with study and personal management skills needed for the year ahead. Permission forms for the Student Learning Conference have been distributed to students and emailed to parents; can I ask families to ensure these are returned to the Senior School Office promptly.
Prayer at Final Assembly
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Heavenly Father
Thank you for the gift of education and the blessing of our school community.
We embrace you Lord with open hearts and have confidence in the learning foundations we have received. We thank You for protecting and guiding us, as we have worked tirelessly throughout the year.
May Your grace also be our guide and that we believe hope will always bring a brighter tomorrow.
As we enter the Advent season, we wait expectantly for your love to be born amongst us. May we be reminded of all that your love brings to this world. It sheds light on the darkness. It brings hope and peace to troubled hearts, and joy to our days, as we await your Son.
May our minds and hearts be open to your selfless, most generous Christmas gift, Jesus.
May our journey ahead help us fulfill Your hope with honest intention and works of faith.
At this blessed time, may our community continue to be graced with wisdom, strength, love and protection.
In Jesus’ name we pray
Amen
