Brookhill Online Art and Design Exhibition

The Brookhill Online Art and Design Exhibition awards were presented at final assemblies on Friday 4 December. I am pleased to publish these in my final newsletter article for 2020. It has been a very trying year but one that demonstrated resilience in our young artists, who continued to produce amazing work, beautiful images that we were incredibly proud to display. The Visual Art Faculty’s VCE Encouragement Award was also announced, with Karla S (moving into Year 11) the recipient. In all, 45 certificates with 20 gift cards were presented to students from Prep to Year 12. I trust they will enjoy redeeming these. 

I again thank the Aitken Community for supporting this event and congratulate our wonderful students.

Students at Work

To round out the year, I thought it would be lovely to see our students at work, to celebrate the achievement of making, of participating, learning, of enjoying and creating; after all, this is much more valuable reward. Enjoy their smiles!

Merry Christmas

I wish you all a joyous and safe Christmas break. If 2020 has taught us anything, I hope it is to further value time with family and friends, to take time for ourselves and to be calm, content in seeing these as the most precious moments.

And to my staff, my team of amazing, generous, determined, flexible, committed, creative, compassionate professionals...rest up!
