2022 Clayfield College Music Festival

Congratulations to all students who participated in the Clayfield College Music Festival last week. In total, we had performances by 21 Pianists, 9 Vocalists, 20 Primary String players, 10 Secondary String players, 5 Brass and Percussion players, 4 Woodwind players, and we had 5 group entries. That is a total of 81 students!

All solo performers received 2 House points, and students in groups received 1 point each for their respective House. The winning House this year by a margin of 2 points (1 solo entry) goes to Youngman! Congratulations to the musicians in Youngman House!

On Friday evening, we were treated to an array of performances featuring students from both primary and secondary with varying ability levels. These performers were chosen by their respective adjudicators. It was wonderful to see the students celebrate, encourage and support each other on the night.

Private Tuition

As we draw closer to the end of term, this is a timely reminder for parents to notify the Instrumental teachers if your child is withdrawing from Private Tuition. Late cancellation of lessons will result in a 2-week cancellation fee. Please note that students must be receiving Private Tuition in order to be involved in the auditioned Music Ensembles.
