Japanese Summer Festival and the City Tour 2020

On Sunday 23rd February,  the Year 11 and 12 students studying Japanese participated in a Japanese City Tour.

Students had an early lunch at Ramen Ya, a Japanese restaurant, before visiting Federation Square to participate in the Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival 2020.

Students watched drumming, Japanese dance and music performances.  Some students also enjoyed getting Japanese matcha (green tea) sweets and drinks. After that we visited the National Gallery of Victoria to see the Pauline Gandel Gallery of Japanese Art.  Students who participated in this excursion were Ojas Bhardwaj, Mitchell Frasca, Jenny Ho, Mark Jiang, Daniel La, Tyler La, Evan Li, Gennie Ma, Jasmine Monteriso, Gillian Poparisut, Caelan Porter and Joey Teoh.  I’d also like to thank Ms Felicity Creed for her support and company.
