Visit by Bishop Ireland
Bishop Tony Ireland's Pastoral Visit to the school and Parish was held today.
This is an important occasion for the St John Vianney's Parish occurring once every four years. He will be celebrating Mass at the Parish over the weekend. Members of the school community are most welcome to attend.
Ash Wednesday Mass
On Wednesday 22nd February at 9:00am the students (Year 1-6 ) will be attending the Parish Mass in commemoration of Ash Wednesday. This is an important date in the Catholic Liturgical Calendar as we begin our preparation for Easter throughout the 40-day season of Lent. This is a time for self-reflection through prayer, fasting and good deeds.
Members of the school community are welcome to attend. Please note that this is a Parish Mass.
Rite of Reconciliation
Last weekend the students who are enrolled in the Parish Reconciliation Sacramental Program attended the Rite of Reconciliation at one of the Masses throughout last weekend. I hope that this was a special and prayerful moment for the children as they undertake their preparations for Reconciliation.
