SEED STUDENTS

It's great to see our SEED students respect the senior students sitting their exams on Wednesday by being flexible to continue their program in a change of locations and settings, yet still having fun with their coaches.

HANDS ON LEARNING SPOTLIGHT

Rod
Rod

ROD JEMMET: Northern Bay College Rod puts his stamp on HoL with his positive nature and wealth of experience. He is always looking for different projects for the students to challenge themselves and is very open to sharing his ideas. Rod is super organised and puts this to great use coordinating HoL across the five campuses of the College. His ability to stay on top of everything required helps leadership appreciate the results that NBC continue to achieve under his stewardship. It is great to know that the program is in good hands at Northern Bay! Thanks Rod.

PERFORMING ARTS

At the end of Term 3, 36 students from across all 5 campuses, were to participate in the Victorian State School Spectacular. Sadly, due to Covid the event was cancelled, however I am very happy to say that we have enrolled to participate in the 2022 event which we are all very excited about. Over the next two weeks students will be presented with their 2021 Performance tops and they were looking very snazzy.

IMPACT

During term 3, our Year 9 IMPACT class worked with artist in residence Angelica Clunes, learning all about the art of puppetry. From finger puppets to sock puppets and with the expertise of a shadow puppeteer, they created a wide range of puppets to use in their puppet show which was to be presented to the Junior campuses. We recorded the show ready for the P-2's to watch in their communities, due to closures and lock-downs.

EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY

Sadly, Extended School Day is unable to continue for the remainder of this semester. It has been a great year with students taking classes in Special FX, Hula hooping, cooking and so much more. Thank you to all the families who have participated this year and we look forward to a bigger and better program in 2022.
