Great success for our ASC Livestock Team at the Armidale Show!
Congratulations to our team of wonderful young Agriculturalists at our local show this year.
Well done Jodie Henshall who paraded cattle so well in both her local and Sydney qualifying competitions. Also to Felicity Bailey and Grace Kreinberg for fantastic junior judging results!
A highlight of the show was our cattle achieving 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the light weight steer class out of a large number of steers. Our heavyweight steer achieved a 5th place in another very strong class.
Our lightweight beast won the overall Grand Champion. Our team was thrilled! All our hard work had paid off! Well done to the paraders of our very successful cattle.
A big thank you to our supporting cattle producers who supply us with quality cattle. Without their ongoing support, we would not have such a successful team.
Thank you Richard and Heather Cole, ‘Lachlandale Limousins’, Forbes and Stephen and Kerry McDonald, ‘Vindex’, Manilla. The Team is off to the Sydney Royal Show at the end of term.
ASC Livestock Team - More success!
On Friday 10th March we attended the Walcha Show with 14 students and our 5 head of beef cattle. It was a fantastic day out where our students represented our school beautifully with immaculate behaviour, presentation, work ethic and teamwork. Matty Andrew’s had judging success in the sheep shed as well as parading/ handling success in the cattle ring. A great effort! Other students made it into the top line for cattle parading. We won Champion Steer of the show with Adios and Reserve Champion with Six out of 27 head. Incredible result after winning Champion at the Armidale Show the week before. These cattle were very well presented to the judge by Grace Kreinberg and Clare Kelly.
Well done girls and well done team!
