City of Nedlands - Public Open Space Strategy

The City of Nedlands is currently in the early stages of developing a Public Open Space Strategy (POS Strategy). It was identified through the Local Planning Strategy (LPS) that the City currently lacks adequate Public Open Space (POS). The issue of POS provision is set to become a growing concern as the City embarks on population growth with additional density to be provided by 2050.

 

The POS Strategy seeks to determine the requirement for Public Open Space (parks) based on current demand and future growth.  It will seek to recommend actions on how to address any issues raised.

 

The City has undertaken an audit of all of the parks within the City to assess the existing infrastructure and potential uses that each park provides. The next step in the process is to undertake engagement with the community and yourselves to discuss when and how you are using the parks in the City. We are seeking your help as a school within the City to spread the word and encourage people to partake in the engagement provided by the City.
