Year 7 St Omer Camp

All 192 Year 7 students and 18 staff were able to experience the 2020 St Omer Camp at Woodman Point to some degree last Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 February.

The Camp’s purpose of evolving positive relationships, overcoming personal challenge and reinforcing the College values were developed through structured and incidental activities led by experienced Department of Sport and Recreation Staff, Homeroom Teachers, House Coordinators and Fr Rodrigo. Not to mention overcoming the severe weather!

The cohort was graciously praised by Woodman Point staff with multiple John XXIII College teachers and aids reporting feedback from Department of Sport and Recreation staff saying “I don’t know what you do at your school but these guys are the best group we’ve ever had!” Holistically, the Year 7 students were a credit to themselves, their family and the College community.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff who graciously gave up their time and expertise to provide full-time care for the students.
