St Joseph's

Technical School, South Melbourne Reunion

It was a weather perfect day for our reunion on Sunday 18th November and a very pleasing 120 or so ex-students, a few wives and teachers came along to share old times and a

little food.

All the feed-back has been positive. Some had come quite a distance, there was one from Scott's Head in NSW and others from Shepparton, Bendigo and Ballarat.

We are very grateful to Simon and the school for allowing us to use the facilities on the day.  The artwork by the children was magnificent and

provided a wonderful backdrop to our memorabilia.

Reunions since 2008 have been held every two years but with many students now getting on in years (the youngest are now in their early 40's), a

suggestion has been made to have them annually.

The school uniform shown in one of the attached photos was only introduced as an option around 1970. Up till then a navy blue suit with a pocket badge was the uniform. By the late 1970's the blazer and navy trousers replaced the suit.
