Junior School

Well done to another fabulous performance of the Nativity at the Springwood campus this week.

Parents, grandparents and friends were blown away by the amazing show the children put on.

Despite the busyness of this time of year, it’s so important that we take the time to stop and celebrate together. We have much to be thankful for.

I also attended the Stage 3 Firetails performance of Little Women and Little Men this week. This was a fabulous play, with musical items too. It was written by Mr Forbes with many snippets from these wonderful books. The students were amazing – they have grown so much in their performance skills and everyone who attended loved it! All pulled together across a few short weeks, in a super busy term!

The second part of the leadership election process took place this week and House and Performing Arts Captains for 2023 have been announced. I’d like to congratulate:

Hughes Dean House – Carlia Diskin and Thomas Sheen

Maclaurin Kelley House – Ted Pritchard and Lucas Rutherford

Ziele Pitt House – Rose Cottle and William Harris

The Performing Arts Captains for 2023 are:

Eva Tilley and Kane Emmerson

As this is my last Pulse article for the year, I can’t help but reflect on a joyful, if at times challenging, year. I have been embraced by the children, staff and families of this school and we have already had so much fun learning together. I am constantly impressed by the dedication our staff show and the lengths to which they go, to make learning meaningful, challenging and fun. Next year will be even better – after a restful and recuperating break, of course!

Merry Christmas – I will be praying for you all as you stop and rest, reflect and celebrate.
