Summer Reading Challenge

December 1st to January 31st, For children aged 0 - 18 years

Every summer Blue Mountains Library’s Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read and log their achievements. This helps maintain reading skills across the long school break, earns rewards and it’s fun!

Simply log each book read, return completed logsheets to the library and earn a $5 book voucher to be redeemed at either The Turning Page or Megalong Books! (limit of 4).

Earned all 4 vouchers? Keep reading to go in the draw for a major prize.

Visit the website for more information, terms and conditions.

Summer Reading Challenge Activity CompetitionsAs part of the Summer Reading Challenge there are two activity competitions to enter.

Book Review: At the bottom of each reading logsheet is a space to write a book review in 50 words or less.

Story Threads: Designed to engage children's creative thinking this activity invites children to use words or pictures to explore what would happen if multiple books were combined. What would the new world look like? What adventures would the characters go on together? What would happen in a scene?

With three age categories (0-5 years, 6-12 years, 13-18 years) all entries go into the lucky dip chance draw to win a $50 book voucher from Megalong Books, Leura, or The Turning Page, Springwood.

Visit the website for more information, terms and conditions.
