Senior School

The penultimate week of each year in schools is a strangely bifurcated time. Christmas decorations appear around the Senior School, preparations are made for our Christmas Carols on the Lawn and of course, for our Presentation Ceremony, and teachers deliver the final lessons for each of their courses. The scent of the long-awaited Summer Holidays is on the wind and many of our students begin to daydream of holiday plans. At the same time, however, Year 12 are powering through their final assessment tasks for the year and teachers work around the clock to prepare Annual Reports, and to make sure each and every student finishes the year well.

As we head towards the coming Summer Holiday, I urge families to remain vigilant for signs of COVID-19. Should anyone experience even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms please ensure that you undertake a RAHT Test, practice good social distancing and personal hygiene, and wear a mask when indoors. Should students test positive they are to remain home while symptomatic. I would hate to see students, staff or their families miss out on exciting holiday plans due to illness!

Finally, parents and families are warmly invited to attend both the Christmas Carols on the Lawn on Tuesday 6th December from 9:15am and Morning Tea at the Kedumba Gallery thereafter, and of course the Senior School Presentation Ceremony On Wednesday December 7th from 1:00pm. We will look forward to seeing you there.
