Co-Curricular Update

Photos Primary RAS Carnival

Students had a fantastic day at the RAS swimming carnival in Wagga Wagga on Wednesday. The students were cheered on by parents, grandparents and even alumni Lucy Nelson who currently studies on Wagga. Such a great day with many PBs and qualifications for the next round in Sydney.

Congratulations to the following students on some great results:

Jack Hawkins 2nd in Breastroke

Lachie Nagle 3rd in Freestyle and Butterfly

Jack Hawkins, Lachie Nagle, Sam McCleary and Tommy Teasdale-Dohnt 3rd in the senior Boys relay.

Well done everybody!

Secondary BISSA Carnival

The Secondary Students set off for Wagga Wagga at Lunchtime on Wednesday 8 March. After a great night at the BIG4 and an outstanding dinner at the local RSL, we all got our beauty sleep and ready for a massive day ahead. Like our Primary Students who competed in the RAS carnival, everyone who attended BISSA represented both themselves and the school extremely well.

The 2023 Secondary BISSA carnival in Wagga Wagga was a success as we were lucky to finally have a day of great weather considering past BISSA experiences. However, the ducks of the area decided that lane zero was the best place to hangout, which was unfortunately the lane that quite a few of the Grammar students were placed in.

It was great to see everyone cheering each other on and having fun. Special shout out to Lachlan Jeffreys who placed second overall in 100m freestyle, placed 3rd in 12 year old boys 50m breaststroke as well as coming 3rd in 12 year old boys 50m freestyle. Macklan Dalziel placed 8th out of 41 boys. Congratulations to everyone who participated. What an amazing effort!

It was a great couple of days with a great group of students. Well done to everyone who attended and a special thanks to Mr McMahon, Miss Thompson, and Mr Hall for all their help in the organisation and running of the BISSA carnival.
