Deniliquin Show

Years 9 to 11 Agriculture and Primary Industry students exhibited dairy heifers at the Deniliquin Show recently.  After five weeks of intense preparation of the heifers at school, the students were excited to showcase their well-trained heifers, cattle handling and judging skills.  Stay tuned for a full report from our participating students in the next newsletter.

It was very nostalgic wandering around the Pavilion at the Deniliqun show, and what a delight to find one of our students - Cara Hayley's artworks on display. Cara did an amazing job with first prize for each entry and the over-all winner of the Vera Landale Memorial Ribbon for her innovations created in our MAG Year 9 Wearable Art study unit last year. Great work, Cara!

International Women's Day

Students across the school marked International Women's Day on 8 March by making purple origami hearts, with a message inside written to a special woman or girl in their lives. Students discussed the concept of equity and celebrated the diversity of women - it was wonderful to see the value of Respect being embraced in the classrooms!
