STAGE 5 COMMERCE POP-UP BUSINESSES

It has been a very industrious period in our Stage 5 Commerce class this term. Students have prepared a comprehensive business plan, cash flow analysis and marketing plan for a small product they have assembled and produced. They are now marketing and selling their products  both online on the Nowra Christian School Website and at the Pop-Up Market Day which will be held very early next term. The students in the class have worked very hard to devise marketing and selling strategies. They have presented this to our very helpful school Shark Tank. We deeply appreciate the help and expertise offered to us by Mrs Heather Luke and Mrs Amanda Herring. Keep reading this edition of the Bytes to gain all the important information on how to purchase the exciting products our students are selling.

Grand Opening for Startup Business NCS Speedy PP

By Thomas B

Are you after an eco-friendly alternative to traditional phone chargers? NCS Speedy PP is an exciting new startup business created by three young men in Stage 5 Commerce. Jonathan W, Thomas B and Robert VP embarked on a journey to create a renewable but affordable solar battery pack that can act as an alternative to traditional phone power. Their product provides efficient phone charging power for any brand and make of smartphone. This product idea came about when their CEO Jonathan had an epiphany about the surprising amount of carbon emissions that came out of a simple task like charging your phone so he recruited the current financial manager Thomas and current marketing manager Robert who also, after seeing the evidence, shared the same sentiment. They decided to fill this gap in the market with their passion project and are now preparing for a grand opening on Market Day which will be on 23 October. So, tell your children to keep an eye out for posters around the school labelled NCS Speedy PP. The finer details will be explained on the market day so stay tuned.

The New Helpful Thing on the Market!

By Lanie S

Stage 5 Commerce is working on creating and running a small business this semester. CeepStuffNear has produced an earphone pouch that gives anyone who has one a place to store their earphones and other knick-knacks until they need to be used. It has a key ring so it can be attached anywhere, including binders, pencil cases, and bags. The idea is that this product will give people a place to put their earphones so that when they arrive at school, in need of their earphones, they will have them there ready for use. There are 8 different patterns to choose from and one will cost you $6. You can either purchase the product through the school website or you can purchase one on market day (please place your orders by Monday 19 October).
