Staff Profiles

Tamara Cybula - School Officer

In this newsletter we bring you the first of our 'staff profiles'.  This is a fabulous way for you all to put a face to a name and get to know a little bit more about us and what we do here at the College. Each and every single member of staff is as valuable as the next and they all do their part to make this College an amazing place to work and an exceptional place for your child to complete their education.

First up, and in no particular order, out of 70 staff members here at WACOA - Denmark we have the wonderful, Tamara Cybula.

When you call the College, it's more than likely Tamara answering your call.

Here from Monday to Thursday, at the front desk in reception, she is the wonderful lady handling the daily running of the office, the array of administrations duties, not forgetting all the ad hoc requests she can receive in one busy day alone.

We thank you, Tamara, for being the College's first point of contact and always greeting every person and task with a smile.

In her own words Tamara shares with us a little bit about herself.

"I have lived in Denmark for 23 years now, and could not think of a better place to live and raise a family.
My husband and I have 3 children, the eldest is currently at GSG and the other two are at Denmark Primary School.
My husband and I ran Denmark Transport. We carted all the stock for Denmark SIGA and North Road SIGA up until the end of March this year, when we made the tough decision to sell 85% of our transport business, being the SIGA runs. We could not find reliable staff and the rising costs of fuel was terrifying. It was sad to see our business that we grew from one prime mover and trailer set to 5 trucks and trailers go, but one that has been a massive load off our shoulders. We still have a couple of trucks for general transport and float moves. We now have more time for our children and enjoy Denmark and surrounds and ALSO I get to come and work with you lovely people!

We are heavily involved with the Denmark Magpies Football and Netball community and I am also the Vice President of the Denmark Surf Lifesaving Club.
So if you see me in reception, come and say 'Hi', I’m a friendly sort!
