Unfortunately, we were advised, that on this occasion, Chairperson, Don McCausland was unable to send an article for this newsletter. Therefore we are writing a brief recap on his behalf. We look forward to hearing from Don in the next edition of the newsletter.

The College Open Day and 80th Anniversary saw a huge turnout of guests and despite the wind, rain and even hail, at one point, the event was well attended.

The Old Collegians Association took up residence in a huge marquee outside the library, where they greeted and chatted to members of the public. There were plenty of artefacts on display and memorabilia, including workbooks from back in the 50s plus original uniforms that were worn many years ago. The marquee and library was a hive of activity and of great interest to many visitors. We congratulate The Old Collegians Association on such a wonderful display.

The big reveal of the day was the unveiling of the plaque that was produced in time for the big 80th celebration.

We had two special guests on the day, unveiling the plaque; former ex-aggie and oldest surviving student, Ron Wise, and the Deputy Director General, Melesha Sands from the Department of Education that spoke on the day, along with Chairperson, Don McCausland and College Principal Rebecca Kirkwood.

It was a great event and here you'll find a collection of photographs from the day.

Here are some wonderful photographs from the day.

We look forward to hearing what the ex-aggies have instore next. Watch this space!
