LEARNER QUALITY AWARDS ~ WEEK 4

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS:

CLASS AWARDS
NASH (Prep)	Collaborative Award - for working together with a Senior buddy to create a self-portrait using paper.
ETHAN (Jnr S)	Curious Award - for his insightful and inquisitive nature, demonstrated when having whole class discussions.
GEORGE (Midd A)	Determined Award - for being a determined learner in his literacy work and overall improvement of skills.
IMOGEN (Snr A)	Resilient Award - for her exemplary efforts on Senior camp.
DANIEL (Snr A)	Collaborative Award - for the terrific way he worked with his Prep buddy.
PARKER (Snr L)	Creative Award - for working hard with designing her dream bedroom for our senior Maths investigation.
SUNNY (Jnr K)	Proactive Award - for actively and enthusiastically searching for nouns, verbs and adjectives in the Pip & Tim books.
MILES (Midd L/T)	Creative Award - for his amazing word choices and descriptions during writing.
SPECIALIST CLASS AWARDS
STEM - Middle L/T	Collaborative Award - for the amazingly impressive manner the children in this class collaborated with and assisted others during our design session yesterday. To be collaborative is an important life skill and most of you this week collaborated and helped each other. Well done and you should be very proud of yourselves.
P.E. - Seniors	Collaborative Award - for the great team work you showed when we had to combine two classes to play a competitive game of netball. You were excellent team mates, you accepted the umpire’s decision and collaborated creatively and strategically to try to work as a team as well as possible
Mandarin - Junior S	Creative Award- for the amazing ‘about me’ lego people you created. I was very impressed with how you all listened to the instructions and were able to make your person and introduce them by saying your name and age, with an added flair for costumes and powers. Well done Junior S! Keep up the good work!
Visual Art - Juniors	Creative Award - for your stunning Shadow Drawings! You all did a fantastic job at tracing and casting the shadows of the tree branches. You were then able to use water-colour paints to beautify your art. The way you held and used your paint brushes was very grown-up! Well done everyone!
Performing Art - Junior S	Creative Award - for your wonderful acting skills in our very special Black Box Theatre this week. You had lots of fun and showed bravery by trying new ways in using your bodies and facial expressions while performing as different characters.
Performing Arts Rising Star	Xander in Prep - for your bravery and tremendous performance while practising your acting skills this week.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS:

INDIGO (Prep)	Responsible Award - for her ready to learn attitude everyday! We love how she asks questions and has a go at every task, always trying her best.
FRANKIE (Midd A)	Resilient Award - for being resilient in her writing and trying her best to improve her word vocab and punctuation.
LEO (MiddL/T)	Responsible Award - for trying hard in Maths, going for the challenge, and for great focus in writing time.
LILLYANNE (Snr A)	Responsible Award - for being a learner who always participates in discussions, challenges herself and knows how to set goals to ensure she is always learning.
JOSHUA (Jnr K)	Responsible Award - for always following instructions and looking out for extra jobs that need to be completed. Being super helpful!
MILLA (Jnr S)	Responsible Award - for always making positive choices around the classroom and taking on the role of being a leader in both Literacy and Maths groups.
SPECIALIST CLASS AWARDS
STEM - Junior S	Collaborative Award - for applying themselves in their STEM lesson which involved using their laptops and logging onto Seesaw. You tried very hard, helped each other, listened to instructions and in most cases DID NOT GIVE UP, even when things didn’t go exactly to plan.
P.E. - Senior L	Creative Award - for the amazing way you have worked with others in your various teams and positions during our last netball session. You were energetic, motivated and creative. You displayed great initiative, you looked for opportunities to make your team better and to involve team members in the game.
Mandarin - Middle A	Collaborative Award - for being patient and having a go at the task. Middle A were challenged with making a pokemon card in Mandarin. They all worked really hard, listened well and helped each other to complete it.
Visual Art - Seniors	Creative Award - for your very striking Shadow Drawings… you all did a beautiful job tracing the shadow of the branches. I was very impressed with how you worked your ‘colour families’ to help make your artwork come to life! Well done everyone :)
Performing Art - Prep	Creative Award - for the amazing way you can listen to the music and move your bodies in time with the beat. You guys sure know how to cut a rug!!!!
Performing Arts Rising Star	Jacob - for entertaining us with your comedy skit this week, it was both very funny and impressive… your acting talent for accents and improvisation is amazing!!!! Congratulations and thank you Jacob!
