Introducing the 2022 St Joseph's Student Leadership Teams
Over the past few weeks the Year 6 students have applied for school leadership roles. We are delighted to announce our school leadership teams for 2022.
House Captains
Our house captains presented a speech to the students in their house groups from Years 3 to 6. It was wonderful to see the effort and preparation that went into the speeches and we congratulate all students who nominated for a position. The students from Years 3 to 6 then voted for their house leaders. We are delighted to announce the 2022 house captains:
The Assembly Team
Willow, Amelia and Layla
You will get to know this team well as they will be hosting our weekly school assemblies. This role involves a lot of planning and set up for each week's assembly, as well a liaising with the staff to ensure important announcements are shared. We look forward to seeing this wonderful group develop their public speaking skills!
The Green Team
Chloe and Lillyanne
This team has the very important role of leading St Joseph’s to becoming a greener and more sustainable school. This team are passionate about the environment, sustainability, and making the world a better place. They will work with a group of students from across the school on a variety of projects.
The Library Team
Liliana and Imogen
The Library Leaders will be responsible for the upkeep and smooth running of the school library. They will work alongside Miss Steph and parent and teacher volunteers to ensure books are well cared for, shelved correctly and accurately logged in the borrowing system. Our library team are book lovers who are passionate about making our library an inviting and engaging place. They will work on fundraisers for the library and assist in coordinating book week and book fair activities. Keep an eye out for our Library Team promiting the Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge... coming soon!
The Playground Buddies
Kavin, Arjun and Kyri
This special group will provide support for students in the playground. They are a team that younger students can turn to if they are having difficulties. Our playground buddies are warm, friendly, caring and enjoy working with people of all ages. They will set up equipment and games for younger students and ensure everyone has a friend to play with.
The Techsperts
Xavier, James and Jasper
This passionate team are our experts in tech! They love to use technology and have expert knowledge in the area. This team are responsible for assisting younger grades who are learning to log on to the Chromebooks and use technology. They will promote safe and responsible use of technology in the school and in our lives.
