It was undoubtedly a frustrating finish to the season for all teams with the cancellation of our grand finals last weekend. As seen in the results, almost every team playing in their own division was playing in the grand final for a chance at a premiership. This would have been a great way to finish the season!

Nevertheless, we can still look back on our season with a great sense of satisfaction at the level of rugby our teams played. With such a short preparation time the quality of our teams and players was exceptional. Throughout all trials and AIC rounds our teams were rarely defeated and the fact that we had several of our lower teams playing in higher divisions with success is a testament to the depth of our program.

Thank you to all players, coaches, parents and families who supported the rugby program this season. Whilst we will be hesitant to claim the many co-premierships we may end up being awarded we will not hesitate to acknowledge the success of our many teams who had undefeated seasons. The future challenge for all of our players is to continue to improve their own individual standards and raise the bar with the standards of our teams. We should be engaged in a full season next year and this will be something we will all be looking forward to!
