Farewell

Farewell
It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I am leaving the wonderful St Francis Xavier community in Montmorency. After being offered an ongoing position at the beginning of the term, I made the decision to join the St James team in Vermont. I have spent over half of my life at St Francis: 10 years as an educator, 7 years as a Primary School student, 2 weeks on a teaching round with university and 2 weeks of work experience in Year 10. It feels sad to leave behind such a vibrant community that I love, having gained so much personal growth here over the years. Not only has St Francis been my place of employment, it also holds special memories as the place I asked my wife out on our first date over the phone, the church where I was married and where my two children, Milla and Evie, were baptised by the amazing Fr. Terry.
While my departure carries with it a heavy heart, I am looking forward to the challenge of working at a new school, establishing a relationship with their community and growing as an educator.
I would like to thank all the staff, students and parents who have made my time at St Francis a wonderful and memorable place to work, live and love.
