St John’s Football Program

Introduction to St John's Regional College - Football Program

St John's Regional College is excited to launch it's new and exciting football program in partnership with Football Technique Australia and National Premier League Club Dandenong City SC. This is the first year of the new partnership. 20 students from year 7 -9 will take part in the program this year and will be coached by professional coaches from Dandenong City SC. Every year the program will expand in student numbers with an aim of having a new year level each year offering multiple training sessions per week including Strength and condition, on field training and in the classroom learning.

The SJRC Football Program will be led by Director of Football Ljuban Palinic. Ljuban comes to the school with an extensive football background working most recently at Melbourne Victory Football Club for four years and is currently Dandenong City SC Director of Football overseeing the entire club program. Ljuban will be joined at St John's by Head Coach and Dandenong City SC Development Phase Lead Dave Oulton and Youth Coach Justin Chungue. Ljuban said "It's a proud moment for the Club and the school to work together and provide an exciting school football program that will give students a pathway to pursue their passion whilst at school. Our coaches are excited about the future pathway and the partnership this program will provide students of St John's Regional College and Dandenong City SC. The facilities are incredible and a special place to work! We can see offering many opportunities for all students who love sport particularly football whilst developing each and every individual to become outstanding community members."
