John XXIII Rowing Club

Congratulations to our observant senior girls who noticed the crucifix, a new addition to the rowing shed. We are very grateful to one of our College families who have had this crucifix blessed and donated to the John XXIII Rowing Club. It is a subtle reminder of the Catholic tradition of our College and that we always strive to be 'people for others'.
This week, we have experienced some very hot and humid conditions and it is important that all rowers stay hydrated. Rowers are asked to bring a water bottle to all sessions, with their bottle clearly labelled with their name.
This Monday 6 March is the WA Labour Day public holiday so their will be no training.
We are very pleased with the progress all rowers are making, and we hope you enjoy a nice sleep in on Monday!
SOUTH WEST HEAD OF THE RIVER: 24-25 MARCH 2023
The South West Head of the River is fast approaching! This fun regatta is held at the Bunbury Rowing Club, Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury on Saturday 25 March 2023.
Rowers and their families traditionally head down on Friday and stay overnight in Bunbury. There are many accommodation options in Bunbury, most families stay at The Lighthouse, The Mantra, or the Lord Forrest. If you haven’t made your accommodation arrangements, we suggest making them soon to avoid missing out as families from other schools also stay in Bunbury overnight.
Rowing family dinner – Friday 24 March

A BBQ breakfast will be provided from 6:30am on Saturday 25 March on the foreshore of the Bunbury Rowing Club.
