Congratulations we are off to the STATE FINALS!
Well done to our Gold A Netball team for managing an amazing win through the Regional finals to finish on top of the Eastern Metropolitan Region and now progress to the STATE final!!! The girls played exceptionally well and although they tested our stress levels in one game coming from behind to take the win by 2 points they absolutely dominated the Grand Final with a very convincing win.
I would like to congratulate these girls on their amazing team work, dedication, and above all their attitude and never forgetting to enjoy the game they love. This win means they are in the TOP 8 TEAMS IN VICTORIA!!! We head off to play in the State Final in a few weeks’ time being the only public school in Victoria to make the finals. Thank you to our huge parent support crew, to Madi K who was called in due to an injury on the day, to Srinitha for being an amazing team captain, to Cathy Etizen for coaching most of these girls every weekend, and to Mrs Whykes for her help coaching the girls to get them this far.
Well done girls, win or lose from here you have made us all proud and are winners to us.

Primary Interschool Gymnastics
Well done to our Mt View Gymnastics Teams who came home from the State Competition with some VERY impressive results. We had teams competing in 3 different divisions. We had our competitive Gymnasts in our Legends Division who came out this year on top with 1st place! We also had our team’s competing in 2 of the Champion Divisions which are for non-competitive or kids who want to try gymnastics and we came home with one 1st place, and a 2nd place. But we also had our boys team taking on many Year 4 students to come home with 2nd place in their first year competing!!
Thanks to Amelia Thomas for her hard work and many lunch times and recess practicing in the gym with our students. Thanks also to our parent supporters and helpers who came on the day to watch our kids compete. And well done to all our students who worked so hard all this term towards our big competition day.
District Athletics
On Wednesday 28th August over 100 students represented Mount View PS at the District Athletics Carnival at Knox Athletics Track. It was a very successful day! Many students achieved their personal best and challenged themselves in their specific events. Congratulations to the 37 students who will progress to the Division Athletics Championships which will be held next Friday at Knox Athletics track.
Congratulations to all Mount View Primary School athletes who competed today. We came away with the shield winning by a small margin. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to our GIRLS T-BALL TEAM STATE FINALISTS
Well done to our girls T-Ball team, after a draw in the first match of the day they came through to have a smashing win in the Grand Final to progress through to the STATE FINALS. Thanks to Kate Baxter and Grace for their fantastic coaching and well done to the girls on their great team work.
Thanks to Sameen for filling in at the last minute when we had 2 players go down injured, you contribution to the game helped ensure that our team made it through to the STATE finals.
