Parent Behaviour

What example are we demonstrating to our students?

Earlier last week I was shocked to witness some aggressive and rude behaviour towards the office staff.  It was uncalled for, hurtful and disrespectful to the staff, and I can only imagine how the students perceived the situation.

It’s also extremely disheartening to know this is not an one-off incident.  What example is this setting to all our students, and what kind of impact does this have to someone else and their loved ones?

There is no room for this behaviour at all in our community - and it’s the entire community’s responsibility to take a stand and make a change for the better.

It’s much easier to point fingers, blame others, and spread negativity, but it takes much more courage to come forward together and become part of the solution.

I ask everyone to reflect on what type of community we want to create here at Mount View Primary School? A fragmented group without any trust and empathy, or one that works together to focus on the students’ growth and wellbeing?
