Farewell and Good Luck
Tonight our Year 6 students will gather for their final major school event their Graduation Ceremony.
With all the restrictions we have been experiencing we will be live streaming the Liturgy and Ceremony, a great opportunity for families to gather and watch, a much bigger audience than we have ever had before!
If you wish to watch, please use the following link: http://www.turbo360.com.au/cohr
The ceremony will begin at 7pm and finish around 8pm. The live streaming will begin 15mins prior to the start to ensure we are all ready to watch!
A part of the Liturgy will be the Blessing From Families, you may like to pray this for your own children as they travel life's journey.
A Blessing From Our Families
As you move on from this phase of life into the future,
may God always be your guide.
May you continue to grow into the person you are called to be.
May you remember that God loves you and will be with you always.
May you always treasure where you have been
and look forward to the new challenges
God has planned for you with an open mind and an open heart.
May God bless you and keep you safe always.
Amen.
A part of the ceremony is some of our Year 6 students sharing their memoirs of their time at COHR.
Mackenzie has written a poem that really sums up so much of the emotion and change that our Year 6 students are experiencing as they take the next step in their educational journey.
Primary School has done you well,
You’ve finally broken out of your shell.
You’ve become the amazing person you are today,
And for that, we all say Hooray!
You are strong and you are powerful,
Just know that there is so much of which you are capable.
In High School you will do great,
it will be fantastic, but for now, just wait.
Enjoy and cherish these last few moments,
Because how soon they’ll be gone, nobody knows it.
Listen here, you are beautiful inside and out,
But don’t announce it, don’t shout,
Just know it deep within your heart,
That will be an amazing start.
Next year will be one of the best,
Though you no longer will bear our School Crest.
You will miss us all terribly, I’m sure,
But for now, our lives shall endure.
So until our paths cross once again,
Goodbye to you, my primary school friend.
A further part of our ceremony will be to farewell some of our families who will be leaving our school community. We thank them for their contribution to our community. We wish them only the best and every blessing from us all.
