Develop a love for movement

It has been another fantastic term in PE as all students have made some great development in both movement, health and social aspects of life. We saw some outstanding efforts and team work in the gym and our sport programs.

Our 5/6 students started the term training hard for the winter gala day. The students  showed great determination, working hard to develop their skills and strategies in AFL, soccer and netball.

Their hard work payed off with all teams seeing success. The girls soccer team and  boys/mixed netball did an exceptional job as they are proceeding onto the next stage.

Overall, it was a fun and exciting day for everyone involved.

Throughout the term, we were lucky enough to have a representative from the AFL come and run an after school football program at school. This was the highlight of the week for many students who came to further develop their football skills of kicking, tackling, marking and handballing. We had great numbers to each session as students passion for football continues to grow.

We had a very special guest come into the school this term. Dane Pineau, a centre from the NBL team South East Melbourne Phoenix, came and answered questions from the students, ran some basketball sessions, signed autographs and played in a staff Vs students basketball match. He show cased his high flying dunks which were a fan favourite from all the students.
