Nine-finity Program

This term, as part of the new Nine-finity program, Year 9 students are gaining real-world experience in planning and running events. In groups, students are organising fundraising activities to raise money, which will help them run their own market at the end of Term 3.

The first fundraising event will take place at lunchtime on Monday of Week 9 (23 March) and will be held mainly in the IMPACT Centre.

Students from Prep to Year 12 are invited to bring $5 in cash, although card payment options will also be available, to participate in the range of stalls and fun activities organised by the Year 9 groups.

Here are some descriptions of fundraisers that will be running from the student groups: 

 

Bubbles n Bits - Charlotte, Indy, Eliza and Zoe

 

Do you have a car in desperate need of a wash? Well we have a solution. We welcome all year 12s, teachers and staff with cars at Macleod College to come down to our carwash on Monday, 23rd of March during period 4 and lunch. Simply move your car to the designated washing station on the driveway between G block and gate 8. Once parked, make your way to C block to pay. At our stall in mpact Centre, we are also selling other trinkets such raffle tickets with prizes like a movie night gift basket, guess the lollies in the jar for a chance to win the lollies, bracelets and more to come! 

 

Guess How Many Lollies in the Jar - Cate, Jessica, Kara and Selinca

 

On March 23rd in the Impact Centre, guess the amount of lollies in a jar, to win the lot! All you have to do is pay $2 to guess, and if you want a good deal, $4 for 3 guesses. To guess, you just need to write down your guessing number, class, and name. 

 

Bake Sale - Olivia, Yusra, Merly, Manahel and Maryama

 

Come to our Bake Sale in the Impact Centre at lunchtime on Monday, 23rd of March.

Enjoy the chocolate brownie of your dreams for just $3. Made with melted chocolate and cocoa powder, with little pockets of gooey chocolate in the middle, each brownie is rich, fudgy, and delicious. 

 

DESC Bakery - Sasha, Caitlyn, Emily and Daphne

 

If you are craving a sweet treat but don't like high prices, come to the Desc Bakery (Fundraiser Edition!) And as a bonus, every $2 you spend gives you a raffle ticket, so you can have the chance to pie a teacher! (try not to miss it, we won't give you a second chance!) We will be selling cookies, muffins, brownies, and fairy bread. So if you want a nice sweet treat, come to our stall! Opens Monday.

 

Kapgz Raffle Store! - Kamil, Zoe B, Allie, Pipi and Grace

 

Come to our stall so we can raise money for our Term 3 stall! Our prizes include: Hotwheels, slime, lollies, minifugglers and some cute plushies.

 

Mystery Candy Jar - Joe, Matteo, Sam and Surath

 

The mystery candy jar is a jar/box that we will be putting in some little bags that contains lollies like mentos or lollipops. The buyer will be paying $2 for one turn to pick a random bag of lollies, and there is a chance to find a single $5 note that we had put in a bag of lollies.

 

Shoot Nerf Guns - Verity, Charli, Emily, Milly and Alice

If you want to have some fun, try our nerf gun! Come to the Impact Centre to shoot nerf bullets for your chance to win a prize and help support us to open a market. $1 will buy you 2 bullets. 

 

Vote to dress up a teacher - Yindi, Jemima, Alice and Eve

 

For $1, vote for the teacher you would like to come to school in a ridiculous costume. Vote to dress up Ms Bodenham, Ms Brown, Mr Griffiths, Ms Moussa, Mr Angelopolous or Mr Caflisch. Do you like Freddo Frogs? They will be free with each vote, only while stocks last!

 

There will also be the following fundraisers running on the day:

 

  • Game Day Sip - Finn, Eddy, Max, Anwar and Ilyas ($2 drinks sold near the bake stall)
  • Pie a Teacher - Flynn, Liam, Jed, Oliver and Quentin
  • Water Games and Ice Bucket Challenge - Marley, Carly, Addi and Ruby
  • Trivia Games - Eleni, Noah, Sarah, Anthony and Charlotte P
  • Raffle - Sophie, Chloe, Holly and Chisato
  • Photo Booth and Henna - Sarah A, Hanna, Ai Maris, Ella, Baran

 

All students from Prep to Year 12 are invited to come to the IMPACT Centre at lunchtime on Monday 23 March to enjoy the activities and support the Year 9 students.
