Term Update

It is pleasing to reflect on the strong progress and positive momentum across the Middle Years. Students have settled well into routines, demonstrated growing confidence in their learning, and continued to build respectful and supportive relationships with their peers and teachers.

The consistent effort in classrooms, pride in uniform, and involvement in co-curricular activities have all contributed to a productive and successful start to the year. We look forward to maintaining this focus and enthusiasm as we move into the second half of the term.

Year 10 EnlighTEN Programe

A particular highlight has been the success of the Year 10 EnlighTEN Program. Students have thoughtfully selected subjects aligned with their interests and future pathways, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and engagement within these units. The level of participation and commitment to learning has been extremely encouraging, and students are embracing the opportunity to explore areas they are genuinely passionate about.

Swimming Carnival and Athletics Success

Our recent Swimming and Athletics carnivals were vibrant and successful events, full of participation, energy and house spirit. Year 9 and 10 students in particular demonstrated fantastic enthusiasm whether competing in races, taking part in novelty events or cheering on their peers from the sidelines.

Days like these play a significant role in strengthening school connection and pride. It was wonderful to see students supporting one another and embracing the opportunity to get involved.

Important Reminders for Students

Any student requiring a uniform pass must attend the Impact office before the start of the school day.

  • Student planners form part of the compulsory school uniform requirements.
  • Students are expected to bring their planner to every class, every day.

Student planners play a vital role in supporting organisation, time management and the development of positive learning habits from the beginning of the school year.

Homework Club – Senior School Support

We are excited to offer Homework Club for year 9 and 10 School students.

  • When: Every Tuesday from 3:10 pm onwards
  • Where: IMPACT (C7 space)

Homework Club is supported by Macleod College teachers and La Trobe University students, providing additional academic assistance across subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for students to:

  • Receive help with class work.
  • Develop effective study routines and organisational skills
  • Work collaboratively in a supportive environment

Light refreshments are provided, creating an inviting and productive space for after-school study. We strongly encourage all students to take advantage of this valuable support.

Student Reminder – Signing In and Out

All students are reminded:

  • Late arrival: If arriving after 9:00 am, students must sign in at Reception.
  • Early departure: If leaving campus before 3:10 pm, students must sign out at Reception..

This is an important safety procedure and ensures that attendance records remain accurate.
