Three Way Conferences
Our Three Way Conference cycle is open for bookings on Compass!
These conferences provide an opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning, for teachers to provide direct feedback and for parents and caregivers to gain a clearer understanding of their child's strengths and challenges. These conferences ensure that goals are co-created and support a strong home-school partnership, which is essential for student growth and wellbeing.
If you haven't booked your appointment yet, now is the time. Please see the General News section for instructions.

Easter Hat Parade and Raffle

Get your hats ready! Our annual Easter Hat Parade and Raffle will be held on Wednesday, 1st April at 2:15 PM. Please see the flyer above.
To ensure everyone stays cool and comfortable, we will be parading in the Fr Stan Campbell Hall this year, taking advantage of the air conditioning and extra seating.
The PT&F Committee is kindly seeking donations to help make this event a success. We welcome Easter eggs, as well as non-chocolate treats like colouring books, crafts, and toys. Donations can be dropped off at the Front Office at any time.
Uniform Survey
Thank you to the families who completed the uniform survey. This gave us great data to inform our next steps.
We had 46 responses (which is a great response rate from the 52 families we have at school) with 2 families preferring 1 day a week for sports uniform, 47% of respondents preferring 2 days per week for sports uniform, and 50% preferring 3 days per week.

As the data was so evenly split, we have decided to start with allowing the students to wear sports uniform on Wednesday and Friday during term 2, as this is what they have been used to for the last 5 weeks of first term. During term 3, we will move to three days per week of sports uniform (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), which will allow time to purchase more uniforms if required and to order the year 6 shirts, ensuring they are ready to wear on sports days.
Hate Speech
Our school is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment for all students, staff and members of the school community. In accordance with the ACS Living Well, Learning Well Student Support Framework, ACS Suspension and Expulsion Policies and Procedures and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Codes of Conduct, Hate Speech is strictly prohibited. For all Armidale Catholic Schools, Hate Speech is defined as conduct that is an offence undersection 93ZAA of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW) Any incident of Hate Speech will be treated as a serious breach of ACS policies. Where such conduct places the safety, wellbeing or learning of others at risk, or causes significant harm, a significant response must be undertaken. For students, this may include suspension or expulsion in line with ACS and school procedures. The Principal will ensure that procedural fairness is applied in all matters and that appropriate supports are provided to those affected, as well as interventions to address and prevent further incidents. This statement reflects our commitment to upholding dignity, respect and the safety of every member of our school community.
Enjoy your week, and as always, reach out if I can be of assistance.
