St Patrick's Day

☘️ Get Your Green Ready! ☘️

Can you believe it’s already that time of year? St. Patrick’s Day is here, and we’ve brought a little Irish magic to our school!

While we’re excited for the fun and games, we’re also taking a moment in class to learn about the man behind the holiday.

Who was St. Patrick? 📖

Believe it or not, the patron saint of Ireland wasn't actually Irish! He was born in Britain and first came to Ireland as a teenager. His life is a pretty amazing story of courage and resilience:

  • The Shamrock: He famously used the three-leaved shamrock to explain the idea of the Holy Trinity (The Father - God, the Son - Jesus, and the Holy Spirit). This is why the little green plant is now a global symbol of the day! ☘️

  • The Legend of the Snakes: You may have heard that St. Patrick chased all the snakes out of Ireland. While scientists say snakes never lived there, it’s a legendary way of saying he brought new hope and peace to the island. 🐍🚫

Here are some photos of the little leprechauns at our school, enjoying their day dressed in green:

St Joseph's Day

Celebrating the Feast of St Joseph

This coming Thursday, 19 March, we gather as a community to celebrate the feast day of our patron saint and namesake, St Joseph. This day holds a special place in our hearts at St Joseph’s as we reflect on the values of humility, hard work, and care that he modelled. We also take this time to honour the Josephite nuns, whose enduring dedication to education and service laid the foundation for our school. Their legacy of "never seeing a need without doing something about it" continues to inspire our students and staff every day.

Join Our Celebration

We warmly invite all parents and guardians to join us for a whole-school Mass at 9:30 AM in the church. It is always a beautiful opportunity to pray and reflect together as a family.  We then ask parents and parishioners to join us for a learning walk through our school, to see all the wonderful things we do here!

In the afternoon session, the festivities will move to the playground, where our Year 6 students have organised a series of fun games and activities for the younger grades. It promises to be a day filled with spirit, community, and joy!

Parish Bulletin

Please find below the bulletin from Sunday Mass, 15th March , the 4th Sunday in Lent.
