Celebrating Faith and Friendship at ACY

Late last year, our students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF), a vibrant gathering of young Catholics from across the country.  Over three days of prayer, music, workshops and joy-filled fellowship, our students connected more deeply with their faith and with one another.

The Festival program included inspiring speakers, dynamic worship and creative ways to explore what it means to live as a young Catholic in today’s world.  Students reflected on themes like identity, mission, compassion and hope, and were challenged to bring these values into their daily lives at school, home, and in our broader community.

Highlights for many were the large-scale youth liturgies and communal song, the opportunity to make new friends and the powerful moments of Justice focused conversation and action.  It was a time of growth, laughter and spiritual renewal, one that will continue to inspire our community in the year ahead.

We give thanks for this enriching experience and pray that the friendships formed and the faith deepened at ACYF will continue to flourish among our young people.
