Junior School
Years 7 & 8
Our Year 7 students have made an outstanding start to secondary school life. From the very first day, the positive energy across the year level has been clear to see. There is a wonderful sense of enthusiasm, kindness and curiosity that has created a genuinely uplifting vibe throughout the cohort.

A highlight of the first week has been the opportunity for students to connect with their Year 12 Big Sisters and meet their Year 11 Peer Support buddies. These sessions have been a beautiful introduction to our school community, helping our newest students feel supported, known and welcomed. The conversations, laughter and guidance shared have already laid strong foundations for connection and belonging.

Students have also quickly mastered the practical side of secondary school life. They have practised using their lockers, learned how to read their timetables and navigated the campus with increasing confidence. It has been wonderful to see them move so seamlessly into their classes, ready to learn and embrace new challenges.
We now look ahead to another exciting milestone — Year 7 Camp, beginning this Monday. Camp is a wonderful opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, step outside their comfort zones and continue building that strong sense of community that is already so evident. We are very much looking forward to sharing this experience together and watching the year level grow even further.
We are incredibly proud of the way Year 7 has settled in. Their positive attitude and willingness to embrace new experiences has set the tone for a fantastic year ahead.
Well done, Year 7!
Our Year 7 students have launched 🚀 into Science with an exciting hands-on challenge that tested their creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Working in small teams, students were set the task of supporting their science textbook 20 cm above their desk — with a twist! They could only use 50 cm of tape and two sheets of newspaper, and they were not allowed to tape anything to the desktop.
What followed was a buzz of discussion, planning and experimentation. Students shared ideas, listened to one another, adapted their designs and worked collaboratively to overcome the challenge. The level of communication and cooperation on display was fantastic and many groups produced clever and innovative solutions within the constraints.

It was wonderful to see such positive interactions and enthusiasm in the very first weeks of secondary science. A great start to Year 7 Science and a strong foundation for the learning and teamwork ahead!
