We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Keira Williams, our Year 12 Art Creative Practice student 2025, who has been selected to participate in the prestigious Top Arts Exhibition 2026.
This is an exceptional honour and represents the highest level of success for students undertaking Art Creative Practice. Throughout her entire time at Academy, Keira demonstrated unwavering dedication, commitment and passion for her art practice.
Her work reflects not only technical skill and creative vision, but also deep critical thinking, perseverance and a genuine engagement with the creative process. This achievement is a true testament to her hard work, resilience and the consistently high standard of practice she has maintained throughout her VCE journey.

Being selected for Top Arts is an extraordinary recognition and a moment of great pride for our school community. We congratulate Keira on this remarkable success and look forward to seeing her continued growth and achievements as an artist.
The annual Top Arts exhibition provides a platform for emerging artists from across the state who are completing their VCE studies to showcase their skills, enthusiasm, and creativity.
In 2026, the exhibition highlights the increasingly innovative use of materials and techniques employed by students completing their VCE studies in Art Making and Exhibiting and Art Creative Practice in 2025.
Top Arts 2026 offers a captivating look into the inventive and imaginative spirit of young artists. Keira Williams' " Arboreal Reverie" explores the relationship between nature, fragility, and resilience through layered floral motifs and pink earthy tonal variations.
Constructed using cotton yarn intertwined with fine gold thread, the piece evokes both delicacy and quiet strength. Each flower and ruffle has been individually crocheted and hand-stitched to create organic texture, depth and movement.
Influenced by avant-garde fashion and historical decorative traditions inspired the garment to merge traditional techniques and craft with modern silhouettes and natural landscapes.
The work encourages viewers to reflect on the beauty of slow, handmade processes, the value in handmade items and the way traditional techniques can honour the intricacy and harmony of the natural world.
You can view the work at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Federation Square, Ground Level, NGV Design Studio from 13 March until 19 July 2026. Entry is free.
